Steve insisted I get my picture made for him for Christmas. I took a bunch and ended up with one I like. I also had pictures made of Sara. Her's were great, of course. We're heading to Alabama for Christmas Eve to visit Steve's family, then back here for the night. Sara and Keith will be with us. We'll head over to my mother's for Christmas Day!!!

Merry Christmas to all! I already miss you and I haven't left town yet.

Diana
Twas the day before the day before Christmas and all through the house
not a creature was stirring except four dogs barking and four cats chasing a mouse.
The stockings were thrown on the landing of the stairs.
No time to hang them, and really, who cares.
The children are nestled all snug in their bed
and don't plan to get up anytime before noon, no matter how hard I beg.

I'm up cooking fudge and Steve's still in bed.
I couldn't sleep a wink and he might as well be dead.
When up in the bonus room there arose such a clatter
I crawled up the stairs to see what was the matter
Two cats were fighting, fur flying everywhere
I knew today I'd be vacuuming hair.

As if there's not enough for me to do,
Keith brought home eight load of laundry, whew.
And I have to make casserole to take to Alabama,
then another one to take over to grandma's.
And more gifts to wrap, if they'd leave me alone.
It seems like everyone is always home.

Maybe yoga to Christmas carols can help calm me down.
Or a big shot of tequila will make me feel sound.
A week long retreat on a secluded beach.
With a giant pina colada just within reach.
An hour long massage from a big studly blonde.
And a mani and pedi, Oh, dream on.

So, I'll take a deep breath and think of my friends.
The one's who are with me, through thick and thin.
They know what I'm feeling and they understand
better than any mom, child, or man.
I'll feel the hugs they always have for me.
And think of their friendship that's never ending

I'll shout from the RV as we drive out of sight.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

My first blog

I did it! I have a blog! This is going to be so fun. I'm going on a great adventure and I want to take you along. I'll be leaving town December 30th and heading for New Orleans. This should be interesting with the Sugar Bowl and New Year's Eve. I think I will truly experience New Orleans.

When I leave I'll start posting, so be watching.
